The Operational of 30 Zhongtong Buses Stopped

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) must stop the operational of Zhongtong bus which used as the Transjakarta bus. The step was taken for the convenience and safety of passengers since the bus burnt incident on Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto, South Jakarta, Monday (3/8).
"Starting for today, the operation of all the Zhongtong buses will be stopped, including the burnt bus yesterday
Director of PT Transjakarta, Antonius NS Kosasih said starting for yesterday the operational of the bus will be stopped and night buses armada (Amari) will be the replacement which is operated on corridor IX.
"Starting for today, the operation of all the Zhongtong buses will be stopped, including the burnt bus yesterday," stated Kosasih, at City Hall, Monday (3/9).
The Burnt Transjakarta Bus was Submerged 30 HoursKosasih stated, his side is still investigating the cause of the incident. Based on the checking body and frame of the bus with license plate number B 7195 IX serving corridor IX route Pinang Ranti – Pluit, the fire was not caused by electrical short circuit or submerged by flood.
"Mostly, it was not caused by short circuit or submerged by flood but the overheating turbo which is still being checked," he exclaimed.
Kosasih conveyed the part of the overheating turbo that caused the fire is still being checked by Zhongtong as the sole agent(APTM).
"Every part of the bus is good but the back of rightside still need to be checked by the Zhongtong," he revealed.
Kosasih explained, the burnt articulated bus on Jalan Gatot Subroto had operated three days ago and repaired by Zhongtong for 1 month. The operation of the bus was taken over on Januari 1 and it is taken from 2013 procurement.
